After what seemed like sleeping on a cloud compared to the bed in Florence, we were up and had breakfast by 9.30am. Colleen wasn’t feeling all that well, seems like she might be getting a cold, so we spent the morning in our room relaxing, to help Colleen feel a little better.
We went out exploring around noon, for lunch we visited the same place we had lunch the day before and ordered the same dish. Must of been a different chef on, as it didn’t taste as good, but we did get more prawns and mussels this time around.
After lunch we had a boat cruise/tour through Venice. There were 2 other couples on this cruise which was good, as we were able to get room to move around and take photos. The cruise lasted over an hr. I was at the back of the boat taking photos, about 3/4s the way through the cruise, my hands were frozen, it didn’t seem that cold.
The cruise was great, really enjoyed seeing Venice from the water. We saw areas of Venice you would of never of seen from walking the streets. The tour guide was great, had a lot of
knowledge of Venice and its past, and had a microphone so we could hear what she was saying. After the cruise finished we walked around through Piazza San Marco for a bit, then Ponte di Rialto, taking it all in one last time.
By this stage Colleen wasn’t feeling all that great, so we went back to the hotel to rest some more. We spent the remainder of the evening in our room, we grabbed a quick pizza for dinner.
As we had our earliest start to our holiday the following day, a 6am start, we ensured our bags were packed and ready to go. Tomorrow we say goodbye to Venice and Italy, and hello Munich.
