We went on so many things on this trip that either are or were the biggest/best/tallest/fastest/highest/etc in the world.

MALAYSIA

FIRST WORLD HOTEL, GENTING HIGHLANDS In 2006/2007/2008/2009, Guinness World Records listed the First World Hotel in Genting Highlands Malaysia, as the world’s largest hotel with a total of 6,118 rooms.

FIRST WORLD SHOPPING CENTRE, GENTING HIGHLANDS The highest shopping destination in Malaysia

GENTING SKYWAY, GENTING HIGHLANDS is 3.38 km long which at its opening used to be the world’s fastest and South East Asia’s longest gondola lift.

BATU CAVES STATUE Standing at 42.7 metre high, this is the world’s tallest statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity. The statue, which cost approximately Rupees 24 million, is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete , 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint brought in from neighbouring Thailand.

PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS were the world’s tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004, when their height was surpassed by Taipei 101 . The towers remain the tallest twin buildings in the world.

The span is the largest of all bridges in the world carrying rail traffic.
